Gavin Towler

Dr. Gavin Towler is the Corporate Chief Scientist and Sustainability Officer of Honeywell Energy & Sustainability Solutions. Honeywell is a global leader in providing customers with high-performance specialty materials, process technologies and materials for petroleum refining, petrochemical production, and natural gas processing as well as products, services and solutions for industrial process automation.
Prior to this position Gavin held the title of Corporate Chief Scientist, Sustainability Technologies of Honeywell Performance Materials Technologies and Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of UOP LLC. Gavin worked at UOP for 18 years in a variety of Technology and Engineering roles. Gavin has 25 years of broad experience in the oil, gas and chemicals industry and has 68 US patents. He is co-author of “Chemical Engineering Design”, a textbook on process design, and is an Adjunct Professor at Northwestern University and National University of Singapore.
Gavin has a B.A. and M.Eng. in chemical engineering from Cambridge University and a Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley. He is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers, and is a Fellow of the AIChE and member of the United States National Academy of Engineering.
Nathan Lozanoski
Sr. Offering Manager – Carbon Capture Solutions, Honeywell UOP
Nathan Lozanoski is the Senior Offering Manager for Carbon Capture Solutions at Honeywell UOP. Since 2014, he has gained broad expertise spanning Honeywell manufacturing portfolio of ballistic materials, nuclear fuels, catalyst and adsorbents. Now, Nathan manages Honeywell UOP’s portfolio of carbon capture solutions, including solvents, adsorbents, cryogenics, and membranes, which can be tailored to meet unique project needs across a range of hard-to-abate industries. Nathan earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University.
Drew Meloan
Offering Manager, Emerging Renewable Fuels, Honeywell UOP
Drew Meloan is the Offering Manager for Emerging Renewable Fuels technologies at Honeywell UOP. Drew has worked in Oil and Gas for 10 years. He began his career in the field, supporting unit startups and turnarounds in over 20 different refineries. Since then, he has worked in various Technical Sales and Business Strategy roles. Drew has a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech.
Tim Ballai
Sr. Product Manager – Carbon Capture Solutions Hydrogen technologies, Honeywell UOP
Tim received his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and his Masters of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He has worked for Honeywell for over 11 years in various roles in catalyst manufacturing, project management, process engineering, and product management. He currently works at the Honeywell UOP headquarters in Des Plaines, Illinois in the United States as the Senior Product Manager for Carbon Capture and Hydrogen technologies, and he lives nearby in the city of Chicago.
